On May 11, about 60 nerds gathered in SF’s McLaren Park to use their smartphones for science — logging almost 1300 observations of plants and animals from almost 250 species. Wow! It went so well that both the California Academy of Sciences and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area are talking about working with the Nerds for Nature and using our event as a model.¬†
